The 2008 Mundials happened down in Long Beach, CA and we were there in force. We had 25 registered competitors, which put us at around the 10th largest registered
school! Besides the registered competitors, there was a large group of friends and family there to help lend support. We are glad so many people could come down to compete and lend their support.
The competition was huge, some of the divisions took 7 or 8 fights to get to the finals. When it was all said and done we had three medal winners and a lot of good matches, good times, and some crazy stories.

Purple Belt Female - Feather
2nd Place Xandra Mejica
Blue Belt Juvenile Male - Light
1st Place Andris Brunovskis
White Belt Master - Light
2nd Place John Jaboneta

Last week was the 2008 Pan American Championships in Long Beach CA. We had a good sized group head down there and when it was all done we walked away with a number of medals, wins, and good times. If you missed it hopefully you can make it next year, or better yet make it down there for Worlds!
Huge Congratulations to all the competitors for making the trek down there, and thanks to everyone that came to lend their support. Be sure to check the Forums for videos of many of the matches.

We are teaching BJJ at the Woodall Self-Defense school in Rocklin. Classes are Monday and Wednesday nights. Check the Woodall Self-Defense site class schedule for more information on class times. If you have any friends up that way get them started rolling, or if your ever in that neighborhood come out and support!
